TEEN COACHING
Adolescence is a stage filled with questions, learning, and growth, which is why we should attach great importance to it.
It is a time when young people must make important decisions that can shape not only their future but also their present and how they relate to others.
That is why I want to provide you with tools to help you enjoy this incredible stage to the fullest and make decisions that pave the way to success.
Some of the tools I can offer you include:
What is Coaching for Adolescents like?
First of all, I want to clarify that coaching is not psychological therapy; you are not my patient, nor are you ill. You are simply someone seeking to improve your current situation and willing to learn new tools to achieve that.
My role is to support you throughout the process and help you reach your goals—which we will define as "coaching objectives." In other words, you decide the path to take, and I provide the tools to help you succeed. You are in charge of your own progress—with the exception of the first or second session, where we will define your objective. You decide what you want to take away from each session, and the activities will be linked to your overall coaching goal.
In every session, we will create action plans for you to carry out between our meetings.
Everything we discuss is confidential, unless you tell me you are planning something that puts your life at risk (such as suicide or self-harm). If a specific situation arises that I believe is important to discuss with your parents, we will work together to create a strategy for communicating it.
Our initial coaching agreement covers six sessions; around the fifth session, we will evaluate our progress to see if we have achieved the established goal. If you feel you have achieved your goals before the agreed-upon sessions conclude, we can end the process. Likewise, if you decide to work on other aspects of your life, we can agree on a new coaching goal.
